Avon Park
Avon Park is situated in the heart of Ben Avon, between Perrysville Avenue and Walnut Street. With new playground equipment, basketball and tennis courts, as well as a walking trail through nature, Avon Park is the perfect place to hang out for the day. It is close enough to walk and has enough to keep the kids and you occupied for a couple of hours. It is open from dawn to dusk and is located just off of Perrysville Road. Avonworth Community Park is located on Camp Horne Rd., just north of Ben Avon. It is outfitted with a swimming pool, fully equipped with a slide, as well as tennis and basketball courts. It also has a pavilion with picnic tables for a perfect day out from the spring to the fall. In addition, there is an indoor party facility that can be rented for your next get-together. Watch the flowers bud and the leaves turn colors as the kids play on an enormous castle/fortress playground with swings, slides and teeter totters. Also located on the grounds are beautifully manicured baseball and softball fields where area teams play.
